Contributor Notes

The article should be sent to melilah@manchester.ac.uk as a Word document (either PC or Mac)
. See the House Style below.

Hebrew

For single terms and short phrases, contributors are requested to use non-technical/phonetic transliterations followed by Hebrew in brackets. Larger passages of Hebrew are permissible, but please use hard carriage returns at the end of each line, since we will not initially be using right-to-left word wrap.

Fonts

If the article is already written and you have only one Hebrew font available, please send the article directly to us in Word format.

If you have available more than one interchangeable Hebrew font (i.e. Hebrew fonts which you can simply block and 'convert' to each other), please let us know which ones you have, and we will specify our preference.

In general, our preferential Hebrew font is SPTIBERIAN (PC version) or SPTIBERIAN (Mac version). For further information, including keyboard / character correlations, see the README file and the instructions for installing a font.

(b) Footnote markers come after, not before, commas and periods.

(c) Two spaces after periods, one after all other punctuation marks.
