Course Aims::

Spinoza's critique of religion, which laid some of the foundations of the historical-critical method of the study of Bible, was rooted in his philosophical ideas, in particular his metaphysics and psychology. The course aims to explore the interplay between philosophical system and biblical criticism in Spinoza as one of the forefathers of modernity.
