Course Aims::

This course unit aims to provide the opportunity for in-depth study of one aspect of the study of the Dead Sea Scrolls which is selected by those registering for the course at the start of the academic year.

 

Course Objectives:

By the end of the course, students will normally

  1. have investigated the chosen topic thoroughly;
  2. have become familiar with all the relevant primary texts in English, Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek or Syriac as appropriate;
  3. have appreciated the range of scholarly views about the topic, being able to formulate and justify their own views in light of such scholarship
