Agunot Campaign
Site designed to fight the injustice suffered by Jewish women whose husbands deny them a religious divorce (called a 'get'). Such a woman is called an 'agunah', meaning a 'chained woman' (plural 'agunot'). The site contains contact and support group information, event updates, a brief history of the campaign, an explanation of 'get', several essays examining Jewish religious divorce issues, and the personal stories of a number of 'agunot'. COEJL
The Coalition on the Environment and Jewish Life (COEJL) site contains a number of articles on Jewish perspectives in regards to environmental law.  The site also includes current COEJL campaign information, contact information for regional affiliates, news and press releases and a discussion list.

Comments Interesting in its originality. Teachers – as well as A level students – could well want to investigate the Tikkun Olam issue and this could provide some answers. N.B. Tikkun Olam (The Jewish obligation to 'repair the world' - which includes conservation) is part of the school RE syllabus on Judaism.

Halacha Brura and Birur Halacha Institute
This website is about and by the Halacha Brura and Birur Halacha Institute. The Institute works to finish the work of Rav Kook to elucidate Jewish law from its Talmudic sources and commentaries. The Institute is working to publish a new edition of the Talmud uniquely combining and reuniting the studies of Halacha and Gemara, which have become two different and independent areas of studies. The site also includes information on the technique that the Institute are using. The site includes a virtual beth midrash as well as example from the publication. Jewish Law Watch
A series of agunah case studies in PDF format from the Center for Women in Jewish Law at the Schechter Institute for Jewish Studies (Jerusalem), where the authors provide alternative halakhic analyses to those of the rabbinical courts, in order to argue for the release of the particular agunah in accordance with halakhah, taking account of her specific circumstances.

Site holds an archive of articles examining how Jewish law views American law. Includes full articles, case summaries, Halachic forms, articles on Jewish law and policy, a listing of law review articles concerned with Jewish law, legal briefs, statutes, an online legal directory, press releases, newspaper commentary and opinion columns dealing with Jewish law, an electronic forum, and law student Q & A section. Primary Sources: Cases involving Halachic and other Jewish-related issues, briefs filed in various United States courts, including the United States Supreme Court, on matters of vital Jewish interest.

Justice Magazine
Justice is the quarterly magazine of the International Association of Jewish Lawyers and Jurists (IAJLJ). The Association is concerned with "Human Rights goals such as the prevention of war crimes, the punishment of war criminals, the prohibition of weapons of mass destruction, and international co-operation based on the Rule of Law and the fair implementation of international covenants and conventions." This archive contains every issue of Justice (commencing 1994, pdf format), which often includes articles on issues in Jewish Law. There are also three "Public Trials" - records of arguments and judgments in mock trials on matters of current controversy, with distinguished participants, held at IAJLJ conferences. The site also includes contact information and upcoming IAJLJ events.

Law in Israel-Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Law of Ancient Israel
This is the reading list for a seminar introducing students to Western legal history from the legal systems and practices of ancient Mesopotamia and ancient Israel to ancient Rome, seeking to investigate the historical origins of "law" as an idea.
