The Academic Study Group is a British charitable foundation which promotes research collaboration between British scholars and centres of excellence in Israel. In the coming period, A.S.G. will offer 20-30 modest, individual travel bursaries. Scholars in any field of enquiry can apply for an A.S.G. award.

Priority is given :-

a) to first-time visitors to Israel
b) to scholars who have corresponded with colleagues in Israel; and have received personal invitations to lecture/explore joint research programmes in Israel.
c) to British scholars interested in obtaining research data for comparative Anglo-Israeli studies.
d) Generally we do not furnish grants to British scholars who have merely been invited to participate/present at international meetings held in Israel.

Applicants should submit :-

1) a detailed c.v.
2) a summary of reasons for wishing to visit Israel.
3) names of Israeli academic counterparts or correspondents.
